Fluidic Management System

The FMS has a low-compliance (rigid) design that increases surgical efficacy without sacrificing efficiency. Unsurpassed surge suppression and a high performance pump mechanism allow for smooth and precise fluidic sensing and adjustments in the changing ocular environment.

  • Molded fluid paths and thick-wall polymer aspiration tubing decrease post-occlusion surge and increase fluidic response and accuracy.
  • A unique and patented elastomer membrane allows vacuum levels up to 600 and above to help increase the effectiveness of delivered energy and decrease peristaltic pulsations.

Precise Pump Mechanism

Pump mechanism. The consistent monitoring and precision of the INFINITI® pump mechanism provides greater control and confidence.

  • The pump mechanism has tapered rollers designed for instantaneous, smooth peristaltic response and has greater pumping capability, with forward and reverse actuation up to 100cc per minute.
  • Accurate alignment of the consumable and pump head enables more precise calibration and measurement and monitors vacuum pressure at an unprecedented rate.Front handle of the FMS.

Unsurpassed Ergonomics

The unsurpassed ergonomics of the INFINITI® Vision System contribute to its quick setup and ease of use, which increases staff access and efficiency, and contributes to a smooth patient experience.

  • The integrated front handle allows the FMS to be loaded into the console from a sterile field, which helps increase operating room efficiency.
  • It takes less time to calibrate and prime each FMS: 48 seconds, or 55 percent less time than with the LEGACY® cassette.
